My single Mijn Kleine Broertje (My Little Brother) is now available on most streaming platforms. I wrote this song for my brother's 50th birthday. It is about our life together and what we went through together. Both the highlights as well as the darker periods.
Even though I have released this song under my own name, and I have written the lyrics and musical base myself, the production has still been made using AI as I cannot sing at all (I did try to reproduce my voice using AI and have it make me sing in key, but even that was too painful to listen to 😂)
I’ve just released a song called This Is Your Day which a reminder for everyone that you shouldn't listen to all the nay sayers and people who tell you that you cannot do something, but to seize your moment.
This release also comes with a new virtual singer, namely Tom Windward. He has a versatile tenor voice which best lends itself to more classical songs and ballads.
I’ve just released a song called When Dreams Fell Apart which is a reflection on my life. For years I worked hard on my PhD while conducting scientific research at a research institute. My goal was to pursue more interesting projects free from the stress of my thesis and the higher pay. However, a few years after completing my PhD I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. A year later I injured my back so badly that I now live with chronic pain. This has significantly impacted my life, affecting my ability to work and travel. The song explores this period and my journey of acceptance. Creating and listening to it has been incredibly therapeutic for me. I’d be delighted if it helped even one other person with their acceptance journey.
This release also comes with a new virtual singer, namely Marigold McCarthy. She has a soft yet impressive voice which best lends itself to more intimate ballads.
Jane Summerville's song Fighting Shadows is now available on all major streaming platforms.
As the re-release of "Fighting Shadows" is taking longer than expected (it first has to be gone from all streaming platforms), I have decided to release the song that I had planned for after the release of "Fighting Shadows", namely the song I'm a Nerd with the voice of Joe Bristlecone.
Joe Bristlecone is the third virtual singer for which I have published songs and the first male voice. Joe Bristlecone has a nice Americana/Country style of voice which best lends itself to more up-tempo songs.
This song is about my struggle with liking things that people often associate with being a Nerd, like comic books, superhero movies, fantasy, science fiction, computers, and games. It used to be something to be ashamed of, but now I embrace it and don’t care what others think. I am no longer hiding it: I'm a Nerd.
A learning experience: two days ago, I noticed that I had uploaded the wrong version of "Fighting Shadows". I used the swap function of my distributor. But it appears that that didn't work as the incorrect version has gone online on the steaming services. For that reason, I have requested the distributor to remove the song. Once it has been removed, I'll upload the new correct version that sounds way better. The removal may take a few days, so I'll let you all know once the correct version is available. My apologies.
For that reason, I have decided to move the song that was scheduled to be released in two weeks time to today. So my next song, I'm a Nerd by Joe Bristlecone, is now available on streaming platforms. This song is about embracing one's inner geek and celebrating the unique qualities that make us who we are. I hope it resonates with all of you who sometimes feel like you don't quite fit in.
My next song will be released on January 23, 2026 and is called Fighting Shadows. This song is about a challenge I regularly face: getting caught up in worrying about the future and seeing all the potential problems that might come my way. It’s often held me back from taking certain steps or missing out on events that I later wished I had attended. The song is a gentle nudge to remember that it’s important not to let the negative thoughts in my head overshadow the possibilities ahead.
For this, I use another voice than I used for the previous two songs. I thought that a more America vibe would suit this song better. For that reason, I created a new virtual artist, which I have called Jane Summerville. Jane Summerville also has her own website, which you can find here.

I have learned that the best way to protect the songs I have written is to actually release the songs and register them with a performing rights organization, I have started to release my songs on streaming platforms and register them.
To accomplish this, I will have to use several virtual artists as I use several voices when creating my songs, a voice that I feel best fit the style and content of that particular song. Aletta Heart is the first virtual singer for which I have published songs. Aletta Heart has a powerful voice and a unique style that adds depth and emotion to the compositions which best lend themselves to ballads and inspirational songs.
The two songs that I previously released on YouTube, An Evening in the Snow and Christmas Lights have now been released to streaming platforms as a single with the title An Evening in the Snow. Each virtual artist will also get their own website, so if you like a particular voice, you can find all of my songs that use that voice there. You can find Aletta Heart's website here.
More virtual artists will follow in the near future, each with their own unique voice and style to bring my compositions to life in the best possible way. Just to be clear, I am the composer and lyricist of all songs released under my name and the various virtual artists I work with. The virtual artists are simply the voices that bring my compositions to life. And I want to completely open about the fact that I use virtual tools in the creation process.
